We are lucky to be healthy and sane, floating in this sea of uncertainty. We are non-essential workers so we stay at home. There are no sessions in the studio, no portraits to shoot, events to document or campaigns to produce. Work has changed.

Since our business is better pictures, we must explore all of the tools at our disposal to make a photograph better. While equipment is helpful, a frequently neglected and often powerful tool is the use of styling.

The truth is that we just don’t have enough flowers around the studio.

Kurt messaged me about doing some professional portraits because his work required very little compromise over how he is represented in his photographs. So we talked.
